I haven't been using DA for a very long time. My life has been crazy for a few years, and art-making got pushed to the wayside somewhat. I was still producing intermittently, in fact there's quite a bit of good work that still needs to be photographed, catalogued... some needs some finishing touches. I am in a fairly stable place now, and have a number of ideas for projects that I want to to start, and FINISH. I also want to start putting myself, my work, out in the world again. I have been sort of hiding away, in a self-protective way, out of necessity for a while, but now I need to come out of my cocoon. I need exposure and interaction. Ide

Wow! So it looks like I haven't been on this site in ages... because I haven't. That doesn't mean I haven't been making art though. I have been, not as much as I'd like, but it still comes occasionally. And I'm intending to increase my productivity in the coming months. I'm going back to school in the fall, to York College in PA, as an art major. I actually had the good fortune to attend Pennsylvania's Governors Awards for the Arts last week, and if what PA Governor Ed Rendell, among others, said is true, York PA might be a good place to be an artist. They seem to care about arts and culture there, and being a college town probably helps too.

That's today, right? I like the idea that the sun is now, ever so slowly but definitely going to start returning to us. True, this is the shortest day, and we still have to get through the winter, but we're on our way up now. I always feel a sense of decline from November through December, but with January and the new year, cheesy as it may sound I feel like I have a chance to start over, yet again.
